Prepping for Social Media: Conversations between a mother and a daughter, pt. 1

We had (that should be your first clue) a rule in our family that social media was allowed after the age of 16. Honestly, with our first child we were never forced to deal with it. She’s an introvert and loves to be outside and read. She had no desire for it.

Now, our youngest daughter, Anwen, will be 16 in July and she’s ready to “cash in the chips” so to speak. (HELP!)

So, wanting to fulfill my promise, I began researching social media and teens and it scared the daylights (choosing nice language!) out of me.

But a wise friend, (Thanks, Lizz) encouraged me to take this opportunity to teach her how to engage online. That conversation sparked the idea of a training program- which sparked the idea of inviting you all along on our journey via Youtube.

We will release new videos in this series periodically over the next few months. Come along, join the conversation.
