Fire, Water, and Earth: A Reflection of the Truest Things We Know

Hello Friends,

I call you friends because we need to know that we’ve got some friends and that we are a friend. The kindest thing we know to do, right now, is to separate ourselves from those that we love and call friends.

THIS is hard. While I’m at home with the family people that I dearly love, we are experiencing our rough edges scraping up against each other. We are practicing grace and margin, and we need to know that nature is also our friend.

Nature is helping me to remember the deepest things that I know to be true. Fire, water and earth can remind us that we are also creation and that there is a Creator who loving attends to us.

Children can connect with these deeper truths through story. I wrote about this in a recent blog over at the Companioning Center. You can read it, here. https://www.companioningcenter.org/post/fire-water-earth

I also created a short video guiding children and their adults through a reflection on fire, water and earth and the connecting deeper truths. Plus a few practices to get our bodies in on our spiritual life.

Won’t you gather up a child (or children) and watch it, then have your own connecting conversation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZFKdoo1XXY&feature=youtu.be
